Laki Power develops hardware & software solutions: self-powered, camera-equipped monitoring stations placed on high-voltage power lines to monitor risks from icing, wildfires and sabotage that can disrupt the flow of electricity to homes and businesses. We build our LKX monitoring units in-house in Reykjavík, run projects across four continents, and are backed by two of Iceland’s largest venture capital firms. We’re looking for an Assembly Technician to join the team as we scale.

Participate in all aspects of the manufacturing process, including:
Receiving and inspecting incoming components
Assembly, testing and quality verification of products
Packaging and preparing products for shipment and export
Improving manufacturing processes and work practices
Working closely with the Head of Manufacturing and the R&D team, supporting both day-to-day manufacturing and the ongoing development of products, processes and capabilities
What we’re looking for
Technical training or hands-on experience in electronics or electromechanics
Experience assembling electronic equipment or precision products, ideally in a high-tech production environment
Good written and spoken English
Close attention to detail and a quality mindset
Interest in technology and hands-on work
Organized, reliable, and proactive, with a practical approach to problem-solving
A team player, comfortable in a dynamic and continuously improving environment
We are focused on building a team that is diverse in age, gender and fields of expertise, and we welcome applicants of every background. If this role excites you, we’d love to hear from you — even if you don’t tick every box.
